GAY TIPS: The Below The Belt Grooming Guide ]

The Below The Belt Grooming Guide

Article By Lee Kynaston

Ten years ago ‘downstairs’ grooming was pretty much the final frontier in terms of keeping up appearances. But with the recent growth of interest in manscaping, all eyes have shifted southwards in the pursuit of neat and tidy nether regions.
So much so that, according to a recent survey by Gillette, one in five men now sport a close trim down below (though given that the survey also showed that 92 per cent of women prefer a man with a tidy trunk line, the other four fifths might want to consider some pubic topiary, too).
In fact, a whole industry has developed around keeping men’s tackles clean and fresh, so grooming below the belt isn’t so much an eyebrow-raising oddity, as a practice you should probably consider taking up.
So, here’s everything you wanted to know about ‘down below’ grooming but were too afraid to ask.
Shaving Private Ryan
Next to the popularity of beards, I can’t think of another grooming trend that’s proved as popular as the removal of body hair (also known as ‘manscaping’), especially in the pubic area.
There are lots of reasons for this – trends in porn, pressure from partners and the fabled ‘optical inch’ pubic hair removal supposedly provides have all been cited – but the bottom line is that some men just prefer the way it looks and feels.
“Hair-free skin can certainly feel cooler and fresher, and also helps to reduce body odour, especially during hot and humid weather,” says body waxing expert Andy Rouillard, owner of Axiom Men’s Grooming Salon. “As for anything below the belt; nobody likes to see sideburns poking out the side of a pair of trunks, do they?”

FASHION: Men’s Spring/Summer 2015 Fashion

Men’s Spring/Summer 2015 Fashion Trends Preview Article

5 Trends To Master For SS15
From vibrant orange outerwear to suits with trainers, 2014 has been a year for breaking new ground in menswear.
As we close the doors on 2014 and dive head first into the start of a new ‘fashion season’, we thought it fitting to highlight the five key trends you need to be familiar with for spring/summer 2015…
1. Statement Stripes
A mainstay of both the casual and formal sides of our wardrobe, stripes are (as usual) expected to be big news for SS15.
The stripe was given pride of place in collections from Gucci and Jonathan Saunders to Casely-Hayford and Emporio Armani, where they were applied to a wide variety of garments including both tailored staples like smart trousers and shirts, as well as more relaxed jumpers and accessories.
With stripes a perennial spring/summer trend, there will be no shortage of options this year. If you already own a classic Breton top, our recommendation would be to branch out into striped tailoring, legwear (shorts or trousers) or knitwear. Also consider opting for a thicker block-stripes or bold coloured motifs in order to bring a modern twist to this timeless pattern.
To put stripes into practice, try teaming your essential Breton tee with a pair of tailored chino shorts and loafers for an off-duty, summer-ready look, switching to slim pinstripe trousers, a navy two-button blazer, white shirt and monk-straps for something that’s more evening-appropriate.
Note: Before you rush out and purchase, it’s worth remembering that different stripes will have different effects on your overall size and shape. Horizontal stripes tend to make you look wider by breaking up the vertical silhouette, while vertical stripes draw the eye down quickly, giving the illusion of length/height. With this in mind, if you’re short and squat, you’re better off avoiding the former, while lankier gentlemen would do well to stay away from the latter.

NEWS: Three Gay Men Attended a Wedding as Grooms

Three Gay Men Attended a Wedding as Grooms…And Married Each Other!

By: Joy Adalia

It was something that was straight out of their own dreams: a fairytale wedding attended by family and friends.
But the bride and groom are like no other because they are of the same sex: males! However, the peculiarity of this wedding does not stop with the couple’s gender because the binding ceremony was not just between two people but three!
This is the story of three gay Thai men: Joke, Art, and Bell.
Many might not take them seriously, especially because of their names, yet they all love each other. Now, same-sex relationships are frowned upon in Thailand but the three have managed to live a wonderful life together despite the stigma.
Twenty-nine-year old Joke and 26-year-old Art were the first to meet and start a relationship back in 2010. They soon moved in together.
It was quite some time before they met 21-year-old Bell. They soon came to a realization that they also love Bell. It was not as if they were cheating on one another because the two of them fell in love with Bell who also confessed to having mutual feelings with the two.
Their love was tested when Bell was hospitalized due to a congenital condition. However, instead of pulling them apart, the experience only strengthened their resolve to love each other. Joke and Art proposed the idea of a three-way marriage and decided to ask Bell’s parents for his hand in marriage. Though the request was quite weird, the parents agreed as they saw just how dedicated Joke and Art had been to Bell.
Thailand’s marriage restrictions prevented the three’s union but they soon found a way to get married by undertaking the ceremony under Buddhist law.
The ceremony included promises to share their home and responsibilities as well as declaring their vows to love one another. Although they understand that the marriage is not really legally recognized in Thailand, the three are not bothered.

NEWS:Bench - Gay Couple Ad Controversy

Was the Gay Couple Controversy Actually Faked by Bench to Create a Buzz?

By: Joy Adalia

By now, you have probably have seen all sorts of versions for the viral #PaintTheirHandsBack campaign for the gay couple’s picture of Bench’s “Love All Kinds Of Love”. You have probably said your piece about the issue or even painted the couple’s hands to join the campaign.
But with so much going on in this campaign, some people are questioning whether Bench had just faked the controversy so the ad will create a buzz [and the company will be the talk of town for days, of course].

FACT: 10 Gay-Friendly Countries in the World

Gay and lesbian travellers now have more options than ever when it comes to choosing a holiday destination. An increasing number of countries are relaxing their laws and general attitude towards the LGBT community. Even previously strict countries such as Israel have become far more tolerant and have their own flourishing gay scene. However, countries that have only recently become accepting of same-sex couples usually consist of a small area or district that hosts the gay scene. If you wish to travel freely around the country you are visiting, then it is advisable to stick to destinations that are widely tolerant of gay and lesbian travellers. Gay-friendly countries offer a far wider choice when it comes to activities such as gay nightclubs, theaters, museums and cultural events. Here is the list of 10 gay-friendly countries in the world worth visiting.

PEOPLE: Aiza Seguerra (Most Influential Gay Celebrities in the Philippines)

Aiza Seguerra (born 17 September 1983) is a Filipino actor, singer-songwriter and guitarist. After participating on Eat Bulaga!'s Little Miss Philippines 1987 he became a child star starring in several movies and TV shows. Later in his teens, he pursued a career in music spawning his major hit single, Pagdating ng Panahon (When the Time Comes). Initially coming out as a lesbian in 2007, Seguerra now identifies himself as a transgender man.

Her voice is seamless and every song she gets to sing pierces through one’s heart and soul like a straight-sharp arrow from a hunter’s bow. She can shatter our hearts in her heartbreaking songs or bring them back to pieces with her sweet tunes. Aiza is one of the best musicians in this country, and to prove that is a long running career and an international recognition. She has evolved with her music and emerges as a superb artist that this country has ever produced. Furthermore, she sticks to who she is and doesn’t overshadow her works with style or looks. Rather, she puts forth her character forward in her endeavors which makes her truly phenomenal.

STORY: Panaginip Nalang Sana

ByLoopKenon

GAY TIPS: Tips for Gay College Students

By Ramon Johnson

Are you gay and out in high school or college? Or, are you planning on coming out at school? College is much less insular than high school campuses can be, however, both can be great times to express yourself and explore your interests.

These suggestions can help you make the best out of your college or high school experience:

Dorms and Residence Halls

Living in a residence hall as a freshman was the first time I ever lived on my own. It was overwhelming at first, but I was excited to get away from home. I knew I was attracted to guys; but I was way too scared to explore my feelings so I stayed in the closet for a while. I was also somewhat distant from my co-ed hall mates. I feared my secret might ruin my new friendships.

What I would have done differently:Looking back on the situation, most of the guys and girls around me were also excited about being away from home and exploring their own interests. Months later, when I did come out, I found that most of them didn't care at all. I wasted great bonding time and denied myself some wonderful experiences by not being myself. Of course, you should only come out when you are ready (and I wasn't at the time), but try not to make assumptions about your new suite or hall mates. They are looking to find themselves in their own ways. You are entitled to the same.

Finding Gay Friends
After months of thinking I was the only one, I ran across a guy in one of my classes that Ihad a feeling was gay. Tired of having no one to talk with about my sexuality, I did everything I could to befriend him. I joined his math group. I asked if he wanted to study together. I made random comments about lecture. We eventually became good friends and came out to each other.

What I would have done differently: I invested a lot of time trying to figure out if one guy was gay, as if he was my only option. And while it paid off and I had a new gay friend, looking back I would've explored more. There were many gay and gay-friendly groups on campus that I could have joined to meet other gay people. I could have also reached out and befriended more of my dorm friends. I later found out that they knew other gay people and could've made a connection. When looking for gay friends on campus, don't put all of your hopes on one person. Explore and be proactive about your search.

Dating
I longed for a boyfriend, especially after I started meeting gay friends. I would chat with guys online, but either couldn't get up the nerve to meet them or I just didn't think they were a good fit. I didn't give up my search, though. I knew eventually I would make a connection with a guy I liked. But when I did meet my first boyfriend, it was in the most unlikely of places–a club I joined. It wasn't a gay club, but there were gay guys in it. Me and a few of the guys eventually became friends since we spent so much time together at club meetings. One of the guys and I became especially close. He was my first boyfriend and my first love.

What I would have done differently: Prior to meeting my first boyfriend, I became more and more eager to find a man. It would have been best if I let the situation happen instead of letting my desperation drive my actions. Usually, the best dating situations happen in the most unlikely of circumstances. When I stopped seeking, I found a great guy. Just like making gay friends, it's best to get out there and explore social or academic options on campus. You and another great single guy will eventually find each other. Another lesson I learned was taking a more active role in my safety, which brings me to the next topic.

Online Hook Ups and Campus Safety
Meeting someone online is a cool way to get to know them–initially. I would chat with guys online during study breaks and off time. I developed an entire network of online buddies. But, after some time I wanted to meet them face-to-face. No online dating questionnaire or number of chat hours can replace an in-person chemistry check.

What I would have done differently: There were many times when I would meet up with online guys only to discover that we didn't quite connect in person. Also, I didn't take my safety into account enough times. Unfortunately, not everyone online is on the up and up. You should always follow these safety tips before meeting an online buddy in person. Also, if you have a suite mate or close buddy, give them your schedule and keep them up on where you are traveling around campus (especially at night). It's always better to side with safety.

Sex
Some people choose to explore same gender sexual experiences while in college. A first same-sex experience can either be a wowing confirmation of your emotional attractions or not at all what you expect (or a little bit of both).

Suggestions: Take your time when exploring your the physical aspects of your sexuality. There is no rush, nor does a prize go to the quickest explorer. It's best to be selective about who you experience with. Know the person, get proof of their HIV status, practice safer sex, and always keep your safety in mind.

VIRAL: Matmat Centino Best Pinoy Gay Beauty Contest Q&A

MOVIE: Shelter

PLOT:

Shelter is a 2007 American film directed and written by Jonah Markowitz. It stars Trevor Wright, Brad Rowe, and Tina Holmes. It was the winner of "Outstanding Film – Limited Release" at the 2009 GLAAD Media Awards, Best New Director and Favorite Narrative Feature at the Seattle Lesbian & Gay Film Festival, and the People's Choice Award for Best Feature at the Vancouver Queer Film Festival. Zach is an aspiring young artist living in San Pedro, California. He has put off his dreams of going to art school in order to work and help his older sister Jeanne, his disabled father, and his five-year-old nephew Cody, whom he cares for most of the time as the irresponsible Jeanne spends her time partying. Working as a short-order cook to make ends meet, Zach uses his free time to paint, surf, and hang out with his on/off girlfriend Tori and his best friend Gabe.

When Gabe’s older brother Shaun comes back home from Los Angeles for a few weeks, Zach and Shaun develop a close friendship as they go surfing together. Shaun, who is a published writer, encourages Zach to take control of his life and pursue his ambition of going to CalArts, a large arts university. One night after drinking, Zach and Shaun kiss. However, Zach is not prepared to give in to his feelings immediately and struggles with whether or not he may be gay. Soon, however, he makes love with Shaun. Following this, Jeanne reveals her boyfriend Alan is heading to Portland for a job interview and she wants to go with him for the weekend so she needs Zach to look after Cody. Zach is reluctant, but agrees. When Shaun invites him over, he tells him to bring Cody along and the three have a great time together. Zach and Shaun's relationship begins to blossom, while at the same time Shaun builds a strong bond with Cody.

Zach feels uncomfortable when both Gabe and Jeanne learn about his relationship with Shaun. Although Gabe is supportive, Jeanne reveals her homophobic opinions and tells Zach that she does not want Cody hanging around Shaun because he is gay. She insists that since Cody's father is no longer in the picture, she needs Zach to be a positive influence and role model for Cody. At a party later that night, Zach becomes conflicted and ends things with Shaun, reasoning that he is not like him and is new to being in a gay relationship. Shaun tells him that it is obvious it is what he wants and calls him a coward for being too afraid to deal with it.

Shaun secretly submits Zach's art school application and Zach is eventually accepted on full scholarship. When Alan gets the job in Portland, Jeanne wants to move there with him permanently but doesn't want to take Cody as Alan doesn't like having him around. She wants to leave Cody with Zach for the time being. Zach is again forced to decide between putting others first and neglecting his own dreams, as he has always done. Later, he tries to tell Tori about his relationship with Shaun, only to find out she already knows and is supportive. After Zach finally decides to finally move forward with his art career, he goes to see Shaun and confesses that he had been accepted into the school in the past, but put it off to look after his family after his mother died. Now determined to finally go for what he wants in life, he re-affirms his love for Shaun and the two reconcile, making plans to move in together near the school.

He then goes to see Jeanne who is preparing to leave with Alan. Zach boldly walks up to her, hand in hand with Shaun, and gives Jeanne an ultimatum. If she wants to leave Cody with him then she will have to accept that he will be living with him and Shaun. Jeanne tries to guilt Zach, but he reminds her that she is the one who is abandoning her son, not him. He tells her that Shaun is a good guy who cares about him and Cody and that a life with them is what is best for Cody. He tells her that he plans on finally making the life he really wants for himself. Jeanne relents, accepting what is truly best for Cody, and leaves him in the care of Zach and Shaun as she goes off to Portland with Alan. The film ends with Zach, Shaun and Cody happily playing on the beach together as a family.

FASHION: Top 10 Men’s Fashion Trends in 2015

We always talk about women and the latest fashion trends that are presented to them through different fashion houses every year and even each season, but what about men and why they are ignored? It is widely believed that women care more about the hottest fashion trends and the latest changes that are usually presented through fashion shows unlike men who do not care a lot about the world of fashion and the new trends that are especially presented to them. This may be true but it does not mean that all the men are the same as there are many men especially the young ones who pay attention to their appearance and want to always look handsome, fashionable, trendy and elegant. Some of the fashion trends that are presented to men are the same like those fashion trends which are presented to women and this appears more in the ideas that are used for creating different designs. Let’s take a look at the following top 10 fashion trends for men in 2015 to know what you should purchase for your wardrobe as a man.

1. Fur:
It may be thought that fur is more feminine and this is why wearing it is more appropriate for women than men but in fact this is not true as when it comes to the fashion trends that are presented to men in the next year, you will find that fur is considered to be one of the hottest trends that allow men to stay warm all the time in the cold weather and to get a luxurious look. Fur is also used for decoration as it comes on the collars and cuffs of different sweaters and coats.

FASHION: New Hairstyles for Men 2015

New Hairstyles for Men 2015
By: Rich Krafting

What are the men’s hair trends 2015 going to be? Based on the latest runways and street style from the world’s most fashionable cities, these are our predictions for the top new hairstyles for men 2015. Remember that trends for men evolve at a pace that you can keep up with. The barbering trend of 2014 will continue and new looks will be variations of current styles.

Check out these new hairstyles for men 2015 fresh of the latest spring and summer 2015 collections from fashions shows in New York, London, Milan, Florence, and Rome.

1. Side Part

We’ve talked about the side part before but it will continue to dominate in 2015. Add a side part is to get the effect of an undercut without shaving. This hipster, vintage, or preppy hairstyle can be styled matte, shiny, messy, wavy, or up high.

For something different, try parting hair on the opposite side. One may be noticeably better, depending on if you have a “good side.” Hair can be stubborn when it comes to change so use a little extra product while hair is trained to lie flat in a different direction than usual.
